The first class paramount ruler, OLUWO of Iwoland, HRM Oba (Dr.) Abdulrosheed Adewale Akanbi, Telu I has lauded drummers across Yoruba land for their promotion of Yoruba culture, charged sustenance of drumming to children.
Oluwo pledged unalloyed support to drummers, saying they make life healthier with lively tones of drum.
He made the disclosure while receiving the Osun State Drummers Association in his palace today.
He equally charged them to establish and sustain peace with their profession, pointing drums as one of the instrument of peace and vice versa.
"I will continue to identify myself with you in as much you are celebrating drumming, not worshipping it. Drummers reduce burden and promote healthy living".
"I admonish you to ensure inheritance of the craft. Even, if your children are doctors and engineers, teach them how to handle drum".
