Hon. Ige Installs 3rd Phase of Street Light Projects... Bags NUT Awards

Former Governor of Oyo State and National Leader of the Accord, Senator Rasheed Adewolu Ladoja  has commissioned the third phase of a multi million naira Street light projects  executed by the Lawmaker representing Ibadan South East Constituency II in the Oyo State House of Assembly, Hon. Ademola Akeem Ige.

The said Street light was installed at Orita Aperin-Adesola-CAC-Lagos Ibadan Expressway respectively with a large generating set to power it.

The aforementioned areas have been a haven for criminal minded people in the past where many people had either been  robbed and dispossessed of their valuables or murdered at night when there is blackout.

However, this rate of crime has been reduced drastically since Hon. Ige installed the street light to illuminate  this area once there is power failure.

Speaking at the Commissioning ceremony of the said project, Senator Rasheed Adewolu Ladoja hailed the performances of Hon. Ademola Akeem Ige which he has spread across the Wards 6-12 in his Constituency area.

The former Governor enjoined the people to shine their eyes as the 2019 election is approaching in order not to  elect government without human face again in the state.

Meanwhile, the Nigeria Union of Tailors (NUT) Ibadan South East Local govt chapter, has honoured Hon Ademola Akeem Ige with an award of excellence in recognition of his efforts to the growth and development of the union in the State.

The award given to Hon. Ige was part of the programme lined up for the swearing in of the new executive members of the union and building appeal fund held at IMG Alake Primary School, Academy, Ibadan where many dignitaries were in attendance.

While presenting the award to Hon. Ige, the State President NUT Oyo State, Mogaji Abdul Razak Adeyemo described Hon. Ige as a silent achiever who has impacted positively on the lives of many people during and after his tenure as the council Chairman and therefore, worth of celebration for his selfless service both in his public and private life.

In his response, Hon. Ademola Akeem Ige thanked the union for the honour accorded him, stressing that the award would spur him to do more for the people that elected him.

He equally promised to give ten slots to members of the union in the second phase of his economic/financial empowerment programme coming up shortly after the Ramadan fasting as well as assisting them to build their union House.
