Minimum Wage For Workers is Long Overdue - Senator Buhari

Senator Abdulffatai Buhari, the lawmaker representing Oyo North Senatorial districts at the upper chamber of the National Assembly has declared his total support for the agitation for increase in minimum wage for workers in Nigeria. 

Buhari who is the chairman Senate committee on ICT and Cybercrime in a message to the workers on workers day said the quest for new minimum wage is long overdue, and expresses optimism that the executive arm of government will do the needy as soon as possible

While felicitating with the workers, the Senator enjoined them not to relent in the contributions to the growth of the nation and their respective states.

“Nigerian workers deserve to be commended for their doggedness and immense contributions to the advancement of Nigeria as a country and it is on this note that I am joining them on this memorable day”.

‘I also want to use this medium to appeal to them to please corporate with those in the helms of affairs in at the Federal, state, local governments in their bids to take Nigeria out of its present economic situation, our collective responsibilities will go a long way in preparing a better country for the coming generations”
