The National Coordinator of the Oodua People's Congress, Otunba Gani Abiodun Ige Adams, is currently in Saudi Arabia to perform the lesser hajj, also known as the Umrah.
Alhaji Adams, who is also the Convener of Oodua Progressives Union, OPU, an umbrella body for Yoruba's in diaspora with branches in 85 countries, recently celebrated his 47th birthday in Lagos, the commercial capital of the Yoruba ethnic nationality.
Adams, a well known and widely travelled Yoruba cultural ambassador, whose organization, Olokun Festival Foundation, organizes about 30 festivals every year, has been in the forefront of protecting and projecting the Yoruba values and mores throughout the world.
May the Almighty Allah accept his supplications as an act of Ibadah.
