The South-West Executives of the Peoples' Democratic Party, PDP under the able Chairmanship of Dr. Eddy Olafeso have expressed their gratitude to all members and leaders of the party for their unalloyed loyal support and cooperation to them in the last one year.
This was disclosed in a Press Release issued and made available to Journalists over the weekend by the Party's Zonal Secretary in charge of South-West Rev. Bunmi Jenyo to commemorate One Year Anniversary of the existence of the party Executives in the zone.
The Executives who commended members for undiluted support so far despite the enormous challenges facing the party and for not letting the party's down in all ramifications noted that the prayers and support by the leaders and members to them cannot be over emphasised.
The statement that called for the continuous support of the teeming supporters in the zone to the party by commencing strategies towards the victory of the party in the future elections assured that the future of the PDP is bright, while the party would wax stronger from strength to strengths.
"PDP’s fortune is on the rise, we should not allow anything to divide us. We should not play into the hands of our political enemies", the statement added.
The statement also condemned in totality the rumour making round, that there is a crisis in the party, adding that what people see as a crisis or rancour is just a minor family issue.
" There is no political crisis in the party and we don't pray for such.
At this point in time, we are warming up to take over the states in the South-West as well as the nation as people are tired of the incumbent administration in the Country", the statement said.
The PDP South-West Zonal Secretary, further assured all, not to relent in uplifting and promoting the image of the party in their respective zones, while urging the supporters to come together as one in order to actualise the victory of the party.
It will be recalled that the South-West Executives were elected at the Dome international Conference Centre, Akure, Ondo State exactly one year a go.
