AIG, CP, Others Storms Farm In Search Of Ex-Minister's Son


The Assistant Inspector General of Police ( AIG),  Mr Leye Oyebade and the Oyo state commissioner of police, Mr. Shina Olukolu and other senior officers of the Command stormed the village where the son of the  immediate past minister of health Professor  Isaac Adewole was abducted  to access the situation and map out strategies to free the victim and arrest the abductors .

Dayo Adewole  was abducted by  four unknown gunmen ,  on Tuesday evening  in Iroko, near Fiditi, Afijio local government of Oyo state.

According to the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO) Mr. Olugbenga Fadeyi, he made it known today 19th june that the abductors of the ex- ministers son who was kidnapped at his farm in Oyo, Oyo State yesterday are yet to contact the family members.

Dayo who was singled out in the midst of his staff by the kidnappers, was a graduate of agriculture and he opted for mechanised  farming where he employed many young people.

The PRO said aside the senior police officers , other security agencies including the army were also on the farm to access the situation and ensured the release of the captive .

As at the time of filing this report, the Police Command spokesperson said there has been no communication yet from the abductors , but noted that all hands are on deck to effect to release of the ex-Minister's son and arrest the criminals.

According to Fadeyi, "the man, Dayo Adewole was abducted by four gunmen around 6:30pm at iroko. The Area commander in Moniya and other patrol teams had been alerted and are presently giving the armed men, a hot chase.

"We are on their trail as I speak with you and more deployments had been made to rescue the guy and track down the abductors," Fadeyi said.

He added that a vehicle with which the gunmen abducted the guy had been discovered.

The abductors were yet to contact the family on their motive and the condition  of their victim.
